In this video, students and staff at Detroit’s Wayne State University speak against the selloff of artworks at the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA). Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr is considering forcing the sale of the prized collection of the DIA in order to pay off financial creditors.
The Socialist Equality Party is campaigning among workers, students and youth for a demonstration against the attack on the DIA Friday, October 4, at 5:30 p.m., in front of the museum. For more information and to sign up, visit defendthedia.org.
